Hard Living by Christine Swiderski

Hard Living

Hands and heart callused
Revealing hard living,
Smoke rings hover
A halos breath
Melodies of times past
Sung with whiskey voice
Bemoaning, rejoicing,
of times gone by.
No regrets, hard work
Hard living.
Toe tapping its,
beginning and end.
Holding a breath,
let just enough out,
another ring hovers.
