Your Angry Heart by Christine Swiderski

Your angry heart

Your cheating
was a sport.
Wretched my heart
My commitment to us,
was the glue.
Your lack broke us.
My fear of being alone,
was over powered
By your right hook.
I gained control
Of my soul.
I finally dragged,
my battered being,
away from you.
You wouldn't let go.
Your ego needed control,
stalking me for a year,
till finally you
became bored, moved on.
Now years later,
I am living my dream,
Come true.
