Colored Glasses By Christine Swiderski

May. 12, 2016

Children nurtured with a series of bribes
Discipline worming their way
Slowly their frame is formed
Fluffy thoughts of entitlement
Enslaving them to charity of others
Tossed into the mix like spaghetti
Being coated with sauce of insult drips
Those who pay the bribe as child is now adult
Their glasses are prismed
With expectancy
As others fog over with resentment
Tightening the belt and wallet
The prism is no long red white and blue
