Summer Breeze By Christine Swiderski
Curse of Winter A distant Memory
Sun dances upon clear skies
Warming the earth and inhabitants
Dazzling diamonds sparkle upon the water
Sand Castles built like subdivisions
Wispy hair, Popsicles drip, ice cream melts.
Children's laughter fills the air
Playing chase, hide and seek, mom's call
Scantly clothed bodies lying on the beach
Waves lick the feet splashing a game
Lets revel in the heat waiting for a breeze.
Ice tea, cold beer, barbeques
All part of the celebration
Experiencing summer as a treat.
