Gardening Treasure By Christine Swiderski

Gardening treasure

Upon my knees hands deep in dusky loam

mulching, feeding , weeding churning.

Settling in a delicate new plant

arranging the display to compliment an array

Wiping my brow, leaving a smudge

Preening and pruning soon will be blooming

Decorate with baskets and pots

A special spot for a birdbath at last

Nature swoops and splashes

living, growing sun dances

Gardeners pleasure they will always treasure
