Dental Hijinks By Christine Swiderski

Dental hijinks

I have for you a morsel of truth

You cannot floss away the encrusted lie

Nor whiten the dark stain

this cavity is prevalent

eating away at the enamel

Justice is served up

with false teeth

The scales no longer tip

In favor of the jaws of life

Pablum is now our ruminate

among the media's Novocaine spin

Numbing our reasoning

Leaving opinions to sputter out

The numbed lips

Which no longer makes sense.
